Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) was born is Boston. He’s parents were actors. He’s father-abounded family and after that his mother died. Adopted by John Allan. When he was 5 years old his new father took young Edgar to England to a Manner House School. In 1820 family return to Richmond. But after he came home he gets meaner. At home he felt in love in the neighbor, Elmira. This love was disapproved by her father. So finally Edgar went to collage, but he never forgot his truly love, and he wrote to her. Her father intercepted the letters, and Elmira never gets any of the Edgar letters. He lost contact with her, because she gets married with someone else. He quit school and started to gamble. He even signed up the army, but he quit this too. Finally he started to life with his aunt Maria Clam, and his cousin, Virginia, whom he married when she was 13. He started to write about other stories and about books, but he was writing only bad things. And that made many enemies to Edgar. Finally in 1845 his story "The raven" was the won the fame for Poe. But before that success, his wife died of illness. He wants to get some money for him and his aunt, by marring his rich old love Elmira. But that leasted only for few weeks because he died.
